Event Highlights
Newark Book Festival - 10-13 July - various locations
The ninth festival in our stunning market town, with a programme packed full of creativity - our theme for the year.
As ever, we have created a rich and diverse collection of events for anyone who loves a good story, whether it’s fantasy and fiction, crime and thriller, history, nature, music or comedy. And there are many ways in which you can get involved and be inspired too, as we showcase local and national talent in book talks, author interviews, creative workshops, performances, storytelling sessions, and more
Join our third annual Summer Shakedown event for a line-up of live music and entertainment as well as plenty of local cider and beer and tasty food. Returning by popular demand, we’re also excited to host our fun sausage and chilli-eating contest

Regular stall holders include fruit and vegetables, cut flowers and plants, clothes, leather goods, bread and cakes, fresh fish, pet foods, crafts, meat, fabrics, watches and watch batteries/repairs, books and carpets.​
